German Chancellor Angela Merkel will hold talks with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on January 24, German government official Steffen Seibert said at a briefing.
“At the end of his visit to Davos (January 23 ), the Chancellor will go to Istanbul on Friday, January 24, negotiations with Turkish President Erdogan will take place there”, – Seibert said.
The program of Merkel’s visit includes the opening of a new German-Turkish university campus with Erdogan and meetings with representatives of business and civil society, he added.
