Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused Germany, France and Great Britain of lack of moral principles in their relations with the United States.
This is reported by Gazeta.ru.
He said that the “euro-troika” “sold the leftovers” to the JCPOA due to fear of imposing new duties by the United States.
“If you want to sell your immunity, go ahead. But do not fake high moral principles or legal grounds. You don’t have them”, – Zarif said on Twitter.
He added that European countries only “whet the appetite” of US President Donald Trump.
In early January, the U.S. military conducted an operation near the international airport in the Iraqi capital against Al-Quds Special Forces Commander General Kassem Soleimani and Deputy Chief of the Iraqi Shiite militia Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. In Washington, they are believed to have been involved in organizing the storming of the American Embassy in December 2019. The Iraqi Foreign Ministry called the operation against Soleimani a violation of the country’s sovereignty. On the night of January 8, Iran fired ground-to-ground missiles at American bases in Ein al-Assad in western Iraq and Erbil.
