German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer arrived in Iraq on Wednesday on an unannounced visit to meet with German troops stationed there. This was announced at a briefing by a representative of the German Defense Ministry.
Prior to her visit to Iraq, Kramp Karrenbauer visited Jordan to meet with German soldiers and hold talks with Jordanian authorities.
The details of the minister’s visit are not disclosed for security reasons.
