The EU continues to negotiate a free trade zone with Israel and Egypt

The organization has previously signed three trade agreements on free trade zones with Vietnam, Singapore and Serbia.

The process of expanding cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union will continue. Negotiations are currently underway with Israel and Egypt to sign an agreement on a free trade zone, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday at the international conference “Raisina Dialogue”.

“We have already signed three trade agreements on free trade zone with Vietnam, Singapore, Serbia, we have signed agreements with Iran, with China, we are negotiating with Israel and Egypt, and the Eurasian Economic Commission has signed an agreement with ASEAN. I believe that this process will certainly develop in the future”, –  he said.

The EEU is an international economic integration association, whose members are Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Moldavia has been granted observer status.
