Russia has recorded 38 cases of ceasefire violations per day within the framework of the work of the armistice commission in Syria, while Turkey has recorded 31 cases of ceasefire violations, according to a news bulletin on the website of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“The Russian part of representation of the joint Russian-Turkish commission on consideration of the questions connected with the facts of violations of a regime of the cease of fighting, has fixed 38 facts of opening of fire in provinces: Idlib – 20, Latakia – seven, Aleppo – six, Hama – five. The Turkish part of the representation recorded 31 facts of opening of fire in the following provinces: Idlib 15, Aleppo nine, Hama six, Ladhiqiyah one”, – the report said.
It is added that over the past 24 hours the Russian side has carried out one humanitarian action in the Abbara village of Raqqa province. A total of 400 food packages weighing 1.94 tons have been issued.
The armed conflict in Syria has continued since 2011. At the end of 2017, it was announced that ISIS in Syria and Iraq had been defeated. Militant clean-up operations continue in parts of the country. The political settlement, reconstruction of Syria, as well as the return of refugees are now in the foreground.
