Russia is developing a new generation of weapons, the country’s defense has been provided for decades, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We are not threatening anyone or striving to impose our will. At the same time, I can assure everyone: our steps to strengthen national security have been taken in a timely and sufficient manner,” Putin said on Wednesday in his Address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
“The country’s defense capability has been provided for decades to come. And here we can’t rest on our laurels and relax, but we must go forward, carefully observing and analyzing what is happening in this area in the world, developing combat systems and systems for future generations. But today we are doing, ” Putin said.
“For the first time in the history of the existence of nuclear missile weapons – including the Soviet period and recent history – we are not catching anyone,” he said.
According to Putin, other leading states of the world have yet to create the weapons that Russia has.
