Almost 980 refugees from Jordan and Lebanon returned to Syria within 24 hours

More than 240 people returned from Lebanon to Syria in a day, while more than 730 people arrived from Jordan, according to the information bulletin of the reception, distribution and accommodation center, published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“During the past day 979 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territories of foreign countries, including 245 from Lebanon through checkpoints “Jeidet Yabus”, “Tell Kalah” (women – 73, children – 125), from Jordan through checkpoint “Nasib” – 734 people (women – 220, children – 374)”, –  the report says.

Also, 313 refugees returned to their places of permanent residence within 24 hours.
In addition, Syrian Armed Forces engineering units carried out demining tasks overnight in Damascus and Zemrin (Deraa governorate). Specialists cleared 2.2 hectares of land and found and destroyed 37 explosive ordnance items.
