The assassination of Iranian general Kassem Soleimani was not to be the only one. So, in the Pentagon, the elimination of yet another military leader of the Islamic Republic, Abdul Rezu Shahlai, was being prepared.
This was reported by The Washington Post, citing its own sources.
Abdul Reza Shahlai is a very influential person in the elite division of the Al-Quds Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In the publication, he is also called the sponsor of the formation. Shahlai acted on the territory of Yemen, where the confrontation continues between the Hussite rebels, supported by Tehran, and the coalition of states led by Saudi Arabia.
The publication notes that the preparation for the murder of Shakhlai was held in the strictest confidence, because the anonymous source of the American publication did not disclose other details. He only reported that the operation failed.
As News Front previously reported, the American armed forces carried out a resonant and extremely provocative attack, the victim of which was the commander of the elite Iranian unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Al-Quds Kassem Suleimani. The blow was inflicted by personal order of President Donald Trump, allegedly with the aim of “protecting US personnel abroad.”
In response, Iranian forces attacked US military installations in Iraq. The operation was called the “Martyr Suleymani”. As a result of the attack, several fighters were damaged. According to some reports, several aircraft were destroyed. At the same time, Donald Trump said that there were no casualties from the incident.
