The blockade and the war did not prevent DPR from overtaking Ukraine in terms of minimum pension

The DPR, despite the ongoing punitive operation and economic blockade, has been able to provide citizens with a pension that is about 16 percent higher than the Ukrainian one.

This is reported by the Donetsk News Agency.

As News Front reported earlier, starting from January 1, 2020, the Donetsk Donetsk Regional Council increased pension payments by 20 percent. Thus, the minimum amount of pension in the country today is 4.8 thousand rubles. In Ukraine, this figure is 1.6 thousand hryvnias [about 4.2 thousand rubles].

“This is quite real even in our conditions of economic blockade and the ongoing military conflict. Our enterprises continue to increase production capacity, to conclude new contracts with partners from Russia and other countries. The Republic is becoming more and more attractive for foreign investors”, – commented the situation the head of the faction “Donetsk Republic” in the People’s Council of the DPR Valery Skorokhodov.
