Two homemade rockets exploded in Baghdad’s specially protected Green Zone, Al-Mayadeen TV reports.
According to a number of other media outlets, it may not be about two, but about three homemade missiles.
Iraqi government agencies, as well as foreign embassies, including the U.S. embassy, are located in this quarter.
There has been no official confirmation of the information about the shelling yet.
In January, the “Green Zone” was repeatedly exposed to such attacks. They take place against the backdrop of worsening U.S. relations with Tehran, as well as with Iraqi Shiite militia groups.
