Secretary of the Supreme Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani said that Iran has 13 scenarios of revenge against the U.S. for the murder of Iranian General Kassem Suleimani in Iraq, Fars agency reports.
According to Shamkhani, Iran has prepared 13 scenarios in response to Suleimani’s assassination, “the smallest of which will be a nightmare for America”.
On the night of January 3, the U.S. conducted an operation near Baghdad International Airport against Suleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iraqi Shiite militia, who are believed in Washington to have been involved in organizing the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad December 31, 2019. Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has promised to avenge the death of Suleimani. U.S. President Donald Trump has promised to strike “quickly and hard” at 52 targets in Iran if the Americans are attacked. The world community has called on the U.S. and Iran to exercise restraint.
