Iran doesn’t provoke instability in the Middle East – Zarif

The increase in tension in the Middle East region is the result of outside intervention, not Iran’s actions, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said Saturday.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek tension in the region. But the instability, escalation of tension and threats to security in our difficult region brought foreign forces,” the Tasnim agency quoted the minister as saying.

In addition, Zarif again condemned the killing as a result of a US air strike by the commander of the Iranian Quds special forces, Kassem Suleimani.
