Ukrainian neo-Nazis united Poland and Israel: Countries criticise the celebration of massacres

Honoring at the state level the memory of people who promoted Nazi ideas, Ukraine openly spits on the memory of those who fell victim to ethnic cleansing.

This is stated in a joint statement by the ambassadors of Israel and Poland in Ukraine Joel Lyon and Bartosh Tsikhotsky.

So diplomats reacted to the celebration of one of the leaders of Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera. His birthday in Ukraine was marked by torchlight processions. Moreover, a banner with a portrait of Bandera appeared on the building of the Kiev administration.

The ambassadors’ statement emphasized that Bandera and his like extremists “need to be condemned once and for all.”

“Remembering our innocent brothers and sisters who were killed in 1939-1945 in the occupied territories of Poland, which today are part of Ukraine, we, the ambassadors of Poland and Israel, believe that honoring people who actively promoted ethnic cleansing is an insult, and leads to the opposite desired result in the fight against anti-Semitism and in the process of reconciliation of our peoples, ”the communiqué said.
