17 people killed in Taliban attack in Afghanistan

At least 17 militia fighters were killed in an attack by Taliban radical militants in Tahar province in northeastern Afghanistan, 1TV reported.


According to a representative of the provincial governor, Taliban militants attacked the militia base. As a result of the clash, four more militias were injured.

In Afghanistan, there is a confrontation between government forces and Taliban militants, who previously seized large territory in rural areas and launched an attack on large cities. The influence of the Islamic State terrorist group* has intensified throughout the country.
