Terrorists massacre in West Africa – dozens of civilians die

The militants’ attempt to attack the military failed, because they began to destroy civilians.

The terrorist attack occurred in the West African country of Burkina Faso. According to reports, last morning militants attacked troops near the city of Aribenda in the northern province of Sum. The attack failed – the government forces managed to repulse the blow, taking the militants to flight. However, in the process of retreat, the terrorists shot civilians.

As the President of Burkina Faso Roca Cabore later said, 35 civilians were victims of this attack, most of whom were women. Also, during the clash, four military and three police officers were killed, 20 law enforcement officers were injured. At the same time, according to Cabor, the loss of terrorists amounted to 80 people.

In connection with the incident, the authorities declared a two-day mourning.

As News Front previously reported, today in Burkina Faso there is an American armed contingent helping the French military in the fight against terrorist groups. However, the Pentagon plans to reduce anti-terrorism campaigns in the near future. This is due to the desire of the US military to concentrate on the confrontation with Russia and China.
