Western information resources continue their propaganda campaign against the Crimea, whose residents wished reunification with Russia. Nevertheless, more and more Europeans are visiting the peninsula in person, making sure that its real life is different from what is shown in the media.
This was told by the founder of the Austrian Suvorov Institute, Patrick Poppel, in the commentary to the German edition of News Front.
He himself has visited the Crimea many times. Commenting on the situation on the peninsula, he noted that the region is developing despite the attempts of the West to exert sanctions pressure.
“People in Crimea are happy, the security situation is good and the economy is developing. Crimea has always been with Russia and will remain with Russia”, – the expert said.
At the same time he called for reconsideration of anti-Russian sanctions, which harm the European economy, adding that in the West there are much more supporters of the Russian Crimea than it seems at first sight.
“Many people in Europe do not share public opinion imposed by the transatlantic media”, – concluded Patrick Poppel.
