Khashoggi murder: 5 people executed in Saudi Arabia

Five people were sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia on charges of involvement in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. This was reported by the BBC on Monday, December 23.

Also, the court sentenced three people to various terms of imprisonment – in the amount of 24 years.

As you know, Khashoggi disappeared on October 2 during a visit to the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul. Representatives of the kingdom initially insisted that he left the consulate alive. However, on October 19, in Riyadh, they nevertheless admitted that the journalist was killed inside the building.

According to media reports, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, could order the killing of Khashoggi. The employees of the Turkish special services came to a similar conclusion.
