Trump called for the impeachment process to begin

The American president is confident that the Republicans will not vote for impeachment and are united in this opinion.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he wants the impeachment process to begin immediately in the U.S. Senate.

“The democrats didn’t give me a proper trial in the House of Representatives – no lawyers, no witnesses, nothing. In fact, they have zero evidence, they won’t even show up. They want to stay out of it. I want this trial started right away!” – wrote the head of the White House  on Twitter

Trump stressed that supporters of the Democratic Party “could not get a single Republican vote to support their fraudulent impeachment.

“Republicans have never been so united! The Democrats have such bad evidence in the case that they don’t even want to participate in the process”,  – the American president added.
On 18 December, the House of Representatives approved an indictment against Trump under the impeachment procedure.

The U.S. President was officially charged with two articles within the impeachment procedure: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The reason for the proceedings was the information that the American leader pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to launch an investigation against his son Joe Biden in exchange for defrosting military assistance.
