Assad and Russian army launch air strikes in Syria

This week, Russian and Syrian military forces launched the largest flight since the beginning of the month over the northwestern region of Syria. It is reported by Al Masdar News.

“Under the leadership of the Russian air squadron from the Hmeimim airport in Latakia, over the past 72 hours, the air forces of the two countries have carried out more than 140 air strikes, the key target of this attack was the southern countryside of Idlib,” the report said.

As noted, the Russian and Syrian military forces on December 18 evening began continuous airstrikes on south Idlib.

The strikes were recorded on the key city of Maarat al-Numan, which is the next main target of the Assad army in Idlib.

Over the past three days, the Syrian Arab army has been building up its forces along the southern and southeastern axes of Idlib, reporting several tanks that are coming to help.
