The notorious Ukrainian diplomat Vasily Marushinets, who became famous for Nazi and anti-Semitic publications on a social network, was again hired by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Thus, the Foreign Ministry complied with the decision of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal, which ruled that the word “Yid”, often used by Marushinets in his statements, allegedly does not have an anti-Semitic character.
The formerly dismissed from the post of Consul of Ukraine in Hamburg, Marushinets now not only returned to the ranks of officials, but also received compensation for “unlawful dismissal” in the amount of more than 218 thousand hryvnias [9 thousand dollars].
It is worth noting that at the height of the scandal, even the German Foreign Ministry expressed their indignation at the behavior of the Ukrainian diplomat. He was criticized by major media, in particular, The New York Times, Reuters and Daily Mail. This led to the hasty dismissal of an odious shot, which in response filed a lawsuit against the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
