UN fails to confirm Saudi Aramco objects fired on Iran

The UN cannot confirm at the moment that the missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that were used in the attacks on Saudi oil facilities in September were Iranian, said Secretary General of the organization Antonio Guterrish.

“At present, it is impossible to independently confirm that cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles used in these attacks are of Iranian origin,” he wrote in a report to the Security Council of the world organization.

The document says that UN experts came to this conclusion after studying the debris of the used weapons.

The United States, European countries and Saudi Arabia accused Iran of attacks on September 14 at the oil facilities of the Saudi company Saudi Aramco. At the same time, the Yemeni group of Hussites claimed responsibility for the attacks, while Iran, which supports the Hussites, denies any involvement in the attacks.
