Washington has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in DPRK

The United States requested Wednesday to hold an open meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in the DPRK in connection with recent tests at the Sohe cosmodrome, a source at the headquarters of the World Organization told Interfax.

“Yes, the United States requested an open briefing by the UN Security Council on the DPRK on December 11”, – the agency’s source said

It was previously reported that the DPRK conducted an important test at its Sohe cosmodrome, which was completed successfully. According to CNN, satellite images show that North Korea is ready to resume testing rocket engines at the Sohe training ground. The test took place when Pyongyang stepped up its demands for Washington to submit acceptable new proposals on relations between the two countries before the end of this year in order to break the denuclearization talks from a dead end.

According to observers, Pyongyang can cancel the moratorium on nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile tests that he himself has introduced if the US does not submit these proposals within the deadline set by leader Kim Jong-un.
