The October storm, which caused serious damage in six Estonian counties, is now actively used for advertising dry packs. Citizens of the republic are urged to stock up on products in case of “crisis situations.”
It is noteworthy that the American corporation Tactical Solution was engaged in the production of dry packs. The cost of one “crisis kit” with a shelf life of up to 8 years is 145 euros. One such kit holds 21 food items, i.e. Designed for one week and for one person. The kit also includes a spoon, tablets for disinfecting water, a fixture for lighting a fire and matches.
The representative of the non-governmental organization Jõelähtme Society for the Protection of the Population, Kaupo Luura, also spoke in support of American-made products. He believes that the October storm is not the worst disaster that Estonia could overtake, and if the crisis continues, problems may arise.
According to him, the hardest thing is for residents of the city, who will find it difficult to replenish provisions, if stores are closed and ATMs do not give out money.
