Anti-terrorist operation in Mönchengladbach

According to the RP-online portal, the largest anti-terrorist operation was carried out on Tuesday in Mönchengladbach (a city in western Germany, in the Lower Rhine region of North Rhine-Westphalia).

The reason for the operation was the suspicion of a group of persons of belonging to the ISIS terrorist group. However, the alleged members of ISIS were never detained.

Only a few weeks ago raids were carried out in Berlin, and in Lübeck a man was arrested on suspicion of terrorism. The number of terrorist acts that have a right-wing extremist background is growing in all the lands of Germany. The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, repeatedly emphasized this and called for doing everything possible to eliminate terrorist organizations in the country.
