Trump says he will not send the military to Saudi Arabia

US President Donald Trump said he was not going to send 12 thousand troops to Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Fox News, citing sources in the US Department of Defense, said the Pentagon could deploy up to seven thousand troops in the Middle East to confront Iran. Before that, the Wall Street Journal reported that the United States is considering the possibility of sending 14,000 troops to the region, the Pentagon has denied this.

However, US Deputy Secretary of Defense John Rood confirmed that the possibility of expanding the contingent is being considered. At the same time, it was not indicated which country the United States intends to send troops to.

“Today’s story that we are sending 12,000 troops to Saudi Arabia is a lie, or, to be precise, this is fake news!” – wrote the American leader on his Twitter.
