The delegation of Crimea urged Serbia not to hesitate to recognize the status of the peninsula

Serbia has a chance to become the first European country to recognize the Russian status of Crimea, if it does not delay in this matter.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the Committee of People’s Diplomacy and International Relations of the State Council of Crimea, Yuri Gempel, at the RIA Novosti news agency.

The Crimean delegation is on a friendly visit to Serbia and has already held several meetings to discuss opportunities for the development of trade, economic, humanitarian and other ties between Crimea and Belgrade.

The Crimeans also offered the Serbian MPs to hold friendly football and hockey matches.
