Migrants drown snow and drink water: humanitarian disaster threatens camp in Bosnia

There is no drinking water in the Vuciak migrant camp near the village of Bihac in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and people melt the snow to quench their thirst.

The camp is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, local media warn. Migrants in connection with inhuman conditions announced a boycott, refuse food and heating. The region has a stable negative temperature.

It is known that in Bihac conflicts of migrants with local residents have repeatedly occurred, including attacks on police officers. The camp also contains illegal immigrants deported from neighboring Croatia.
