The shooter at the US Navy Pensacola air base in Florida has been eliminated, according to the US Navy.
This air base was previously cordoned off after reports of firing.
“The active shooter is dead,” the Navy said on Twitter. They confirmed the death of another man. At the same time, the number of wounded who were taken to local hospitals is not specified.
The NBC channel, citing government officials, in turn, said that at least five people were hospitalized.
“At the moment, the security of both outputs of the Pensacola Navy airbase is ensured in connection with reports of an active shooter,” the Facebook page said in a message on the airbase.
A representative from a nearby hospital confirmed that they had received five people.
