After weeks of protests by education officials in Croatia, police and customs officials from that side announced their intention to start a strike.
The requirements are the same as for teachers: increasing the coefficient of complexity of their work, which, according to the local system, should lead to an increase in salary.
“First of all, we want to establish contact with the authorities and demand for all police officers an increase in the coefficient of complexity by 1.0”, – the Hina Zagreb agency reports a statement by Tomislav Tari, chairman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Trade Union.
According to him, now the police, who work including with migrants, barely survive from paycheck to paycheck.
Earlier, similar demands were made by Croatian educational staff who refused to go to work and organized rallies of thousands.
