Gunnar Lindemann, a German politician from the Alternative for Germany party, a member of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies, commented on Ukraine’s reluctance to comply with the Minsk agreements.
“It’s sad that the President of Ukraine Zelensky is apparently trying to put forward grounds for not fulfilling the Minsk agreements and Steinmeier’s formula”, – said Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the House of Representatives of Berlin, about the situation. Zelensky is now trying to place the military on the Russian border with the LPR and the DPR. It should not be in that way.
“Firstly, the troops should be withdrawn, and the full autonomy of the Donbass should be included in the Ukrainian Constitution. Then local elections should be held in the LPR and the DPR. The question of who exercises border control arises only after all other points have been completed. If Zelensky is serious about peace in the Donbass, now he must implement the Minsk agreements without any problems. But the tactical games of the Ukrainian government continue to kill people in the Donbass and will not lead to a lasting peace in the DPR and LPR”, – continued Gunnar Lindemann.
Ukraine must now show its serious intentions.
“Next, we definitely need an independent international court that will investigate the war crimes of the Kiev fascists and convict the guilty. And former President Poroshenko should be in the dock”, – he stated.
