DPRK Foreign Ministry: negotiations with the USA are a trick in Washington’s political interests

“The dialogue advertised by the United States is, in fact, nothing more than a stupid trick designed to keep the DPRK bound by negotiations and use it in the interests of the political situation and elections in the United States”, – said Lee Tae Sung, Deputy Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic.

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister of the DPRK, “the United States seeks to gain time in its own interests by talking about a stable and meaningful dialogue, rather than taking steps in response to measures taken earlier by the DPRK”.

At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic recalled that at the end of this year, the deadline that Pyongyang had set for Washington to work out a mutually acceptable compromise in the negotiations was expiring.

“All that can be done now is the choice of the USA, and it depends only on the USA which Christmas present they will choose for themselves”, – Lee Tae Sung summarized.
