Trump will not participate in the hearings of the impeachment case

White House legal adviser Pat Cipollone wrote a letter to the chairman of the House of Representatives Judicial Committee, Jerrold Nadler, in which he said that neither U.S. President Donald Trump nor his lawyers would participate in the December 4 impeachment hearings.

The letter says that the White House will not participate in the hearings until witnesses are named and it remains unclear whether the judicial committee will be able to provide the president with a fair process by setting up additional hearings.

Chipollone did not rule out future participation in the hearings.
