Three Russian military injured in an explosion in Syria

Three Russian servicemen were injured and bruised as a result of an improvised bomb blast along the route of an armored military police car in Syria.


The Ministry of Defense emphasized that nothing threatens the lives of the victims.
The incident occurred one and a half kilometers west of the village of Koran, Kobani district of Aleppo province.

Russian-Turkish patrol

Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held six-hour talks on October 22, following which a ten-point memorandum of understanding was signed.

The document provides for the entry on the Syrian side of the border with Turkey outside the zone of operation “Source of Peace” of the Russian military police and the Syrian border service. They are designed to facilitate the withdrawal of Kurdish troops and their weapons 30 kilometers from the Syrian-Turkish border, as well as conduct joint patrols.

Later, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the early withdrawal of Kurds from the security zone. Reconnaissance flights and clearance began.

During patrolling, military personnel move in Russian Tiger and Typhoon armored vehicles.
