Does Ukraine actually have the right?

The reasoning of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about changing the order of implementation of the Minsk Agreement clauses is pointless, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin told Interfax.

“Statements of intent to discuss and change the sequence of actions stipulated by the Minsk agreements, demonstrates the lack of understanding by the President of Ukraine of the fundamentals of international law, a real attitude to interstate documents and obligations of Ukraine. Moreover, Zelensky is seriously overestimating his importance in geopolitics”, – said Denis Pushilin.

He noted that the insecurity and lack of maturity of Ukraine has already “become a byword”.

“Official Kiev should not forget under what conditions Ukraine each time signed an agreement in the capital of Belarus: when there were no other options to save its army. No one gave it the right to dictate the terms and sequence of the implementation of the clauses of the agreement either then, or even more so now. It is obliged not to interpret them in accordance with the desires of a small-town politician, but to unconditionally fulfill them”, – said Denis Pushilin.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine said that the most difficult issue in negotiations with Russia during the upcoming summit of the “Norman Four” will be the discussion of the sequence of actions to resolve the situation in the Donbass. He believes that first it is necessary to transfer control over the border between the DPR and Russia, and then hold local elections in the territory of Donbass.
