The law on the state border of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is logical, it complies with the Minsk agreements. This was stated on Friday by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
“I would still ask you not to look for any secret meanings. I assure you that they are not there. It’s just a planned legislative activity. It turns out that up to this point the border issue was settled by decree of the chapter, and in principle it was enough at that stage. < ..> Therefore, in order for everything to be regulated at the level of by-laws, a law was required. The head of the republic also explained why the law does not contradict the Minsk agreements. “And as for the current situation directly, why this does not contradict Minsk, the line of contact is indicated in this law, because, alas, the conflict is not over yet … … Therefore, the law is absolutely logical, understandable, and we need it for our internal use. “
On November 29, the parliament of the Donetsk People’s Republic formally established the state border along the administrative border of the Donetsk region of Ukraine as of the beginning of 2014.
