The Indian authorities signed an agreement with Russia on the supply of S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems, guided by their own national interests, so it makes no sense to even try to convince Delhi.
Such a statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subramaniyami Jayshankar, speaking in the country’s parliament.
According to him, other states, including the United States, may not even try to influence the decision of the Indian leadership, adopted in the interests of security and defense of the country.
“If we demonstrate adherence to the S-400 supply contract that we have concluded, then other countries should respect this,” the diplomat said. When India signed a $ 5 billion contract with Russia, she made it clear that she herself was making decisions based on the country’s interests. ”
As News Front previously reported, an agreement to supply the Triumph Russian S-400 air defense systems to India was signed last fall. Under this contract, India will receive five regimental sets of S-400.
