Hong Kong Protests: Trump Signs Human Rights and Democracy Act

America is clearly and intentionally interfering in the affairs of its own country in order to support the revolution sponsored by its own money.

US President Donald Trump has signed a bill supporting pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong.

Trump said he signed the law “out of respect for President Xi Jinping, China and the people of Hong Kong”.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has threatened “countermeasures” if the US continues to “go the wrong way”.

“The US is ignoring the facts and distorting the truth”, – the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“He openly supported violent criminals who smashed buildings, set fire to, attacked innocent civilians, violated the rule of law and threatened public order”.

The Foreign Ministry summoned the US ambassador, demanding that Washington stop interfering in the internal affairs of China.

The Hong Kong government also responded by saying that the US bill would give the wrong signal and would not help alleviate the situation.

“The purpose of this act is to undermine the situation in Hong Kong to restrain the development of China. We express our extreme indignation and condemnation in connection with a series of intimidating actions on the part of the United States”. – the communications office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong said.

The Chancellery noted that “the intention of American politicians was to support the instigators of chaos in Hong Kong and those extremist radicals and rebels who are trying to undermine the situation in the area, counteract China, add fuel to the fire of chaos and destroy Hong Kong”.
