EP approved the new composition of the EC under the leadership of Ursula von der Leyen

The European Parliament approved a new composition of the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, during a five-year Wednesday vote, and the collegium will assume full duties on December 1, but without a British representative.


The results of the vote in Strasbourg showed that the new EC secured the support of the majority of European deputies (461 voted in favor), while 157 European deputies voted against, and 89 abstained.
