The first units of the special-purpose medical detachment were transferred to the base of the Russian military police near the city of Ain al-Arab in the province of Aleppo.
On Monday, November 25, this was stated by surgeon Sergei Ponomarev. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to reports, medical units were delivered to Syria on a Mi-8 helicopter, along with equipment, medicines and medical supplies.
According to Ponomarev, the local population of Syria faced a lot of problems, as many diseases were launched during the armed conflict.
“We are ready to work as much as we can. After some time, the full medical squad will arrive. I think we will be able to take about 100 people a day”, – the medic said
Russian specialists have already deployed the first item with everything necessary, including a telemedicine device, to which you can connect an x-ray and an ultrasound machine.
