EU leaders should stop manipulating the states of the western Balkans and play with them like puppets, said Serbian President Alexander Vučić during a visit by North Macedonian leader Stevo Pendarovski.
Pendarowski in early November participated in the Peace Forum in Paris, where he spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron. According to Pendarovski, Macron proposed a non paper (unofficial document – ed.) to the EU member states with a new methodology for expanding the union and expects to receive comments from other countries and approval of innovations by March in the next month or two. In May, a summit of the European Union is scheduled in Croatian Zagreb, at which the date of the start of negotiations on the accession of Northern Macedonia will be agreed.
According to Vučić, even in the event of a positive decision to start negotiations on Skopje’s accession to the EU, “this joy will be enough for 15 days”, and then the question will arise what to do next.
