NATO tries to prolong the influence on the EU through Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the EU is not able to protect Europe. “Next week I will go to Paris and plan to discuss the issue (death of the brain of the alliance) with President Macron. Today I can say that NATO is strong, efficient and vital for our security, ” Stoltenberg said.

“The European bloc cannot replace the transatlantic bloc. The EU is important, but cannot protect Europe, ” he assured.

“We live in a world in which we must be together. The reality is that there are so many challenges, so many threats, so much uncertainty that the best way to protect a country is to be with other countries, ” he assured.

“As long as any potential adversary knows that an attack on an ally will provoke a response from the alliance, there will be no attacks. The Alliance has maintained peace and avoided conflict for 70 years. And we will continue to do this for many more decades,” Stoltenberg believes.

NATO is trying to prolong American hegemony in European politics, in connection with which Stoltenberg expresses the opinion that “any attempt to alienate Europe from North America will not only weaken NATO, but also divide Europe.”
