The US intention in the coming weeks to send additional units to Saudi Arabia leads to escalation of tension in the Persian Gulf region, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters.
President Donald Trump’s letter to Congress on Tuesday said the United States would deploy additional units to Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks to protect its oil facilities.
“In general, this is an escalation of tension”, – Bogdanov said.
