Texting between Volker and Yermak

“Good lunch, thanks. Heard from the White House. Assuming President Z. Convinces Trump he will investigate / “get to the bottom of what happened” in 2016, we will nail down date for visit to Washington. Good luck. See you tomorrow. Kurt”.

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman was asked about text messages between the US envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, and Andriy Yermak, senior adviser to the President of Ukraine.

On July 25, less than half an hour before the telephone conversation between President Trump and the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Volker wrote to Yermak the message mentioned above.

House Lawyer Daniel Goldman asked Vindman if the content of the text indicates that President Zelensky was “prepared for this appeal” by the handlers.

Windman said:

“It was supposed to be consistent, yes”.
