In Berlin, law enforcement authorities carried out an operation to detain a Syrian who was preparing a terrorist attack using a makeshift explosive device.

According to reports, a special unit of the federal police was involved in the operation. Security officials raided the criminal’s apartment, which turned out to be a 37-year-old from Syria.
Investigators accuse him of making improvised explosive devices. It was possible to calculate it by search queries on the Internet. At the same time, he fell into the field of vision of the special services for a long time, and in August and September he was spotted acquiring chemicals.
The criminal himself said that since the spring of this year he had been communicating with supporters of the Islamic State terrorist organization, exchanging instructions on creating Dragunov SVU.
At the moment, it is not known exactly where the attack was supposed to happen, however, as reported, the goal was to kill as many people as possible.
