Bolivian Interior Minister Arturo Murillo said the agency has identified a criminal group preparing an attempt on the assassination of the country’s acting President, Janine Agnes.
“A criminal group planning an attack on Agnes has been uncovered”, – Correo del Sur edition quoted Murillo as saying at the press conference.
This information was obtained through the exchange of data between four intelligence systems.
In connection with the situation in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they called on Agnes to abandon the planned trip to the Beni region to participate in celebrations.
Argentina previously ruled out the possibility of dialogue with Agnes, calling the change of power in Bolivia the result of a coup.
On November 10, the entire top leadership of Bolivia, including the country’s leader Evo Morales, resigned amid protests.
The powers of the head of state were assumed by the second vice-speaker of the Senate, opposition representative Janine Agnes.
