Yellow Vests are preparing for a new protest

After 12 months of weekly events, the Yellow Vests are preparing again to hit the sidewalk in the streets of Paris and other cities in France this Saturday, November 16th.

On November 17, 2018, more than 250,000 people gathered in France, which marked the beginning of a new protest movement. A year later, the weekend promises to be difficult for the authorities, especially in Paris, because the demonstrators hope to be heard again.

By the first anniversary of the movement, an influx of several thousand protesters to the capital is expected, where RATP closed 23 metro and RER stations.

In total, more than 200 shares are planned for this weekend, according to a list published on Facebook. This Saturday in Paris, three events were announced between Porte de Champerre and Austerlitz, the Sacred Heart and Place de la Bastille, as well as from Place de Italy in Place de Franz Liszt.

An important security element for police headquarters is planned for the weekend. The prefect also adopted a restraining order “parades and meetings requiring yellow vests [and] transportation and transportation by individuals without legal grounds” of fireworks and pyrotechnic products, substances or mixtures of dangerous objects intended to hide the face, as well as protective equipment in several sectors of the capital .

Other venues are planned in several major cities, including Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse.
