Speaking at the hearing, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Jovanovic was unable to give the Democrats any evidence of violations by President Donald Trump.
Such a statement was made by White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham.
“The second public hearing on impeachment in the House of Representatives with [Nancy] Pelosi and Congressman [Adam] Schiff was as futile and inconsistent as the first,” she said.
Grisham also emphasized that no evidence of “criminal activity” was found, especially since Jovanovic was not present during a telephone conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
“In fact, Ambassador Jovanovic testified under oath that she did not know anything about any criminal activity related to President Trump,” said Grisham.
