Participants in the pro-Western opposition rallies staged a confrontation with the police right outside the office building of the Georgian Dream party.
According to reports, the radicals tried to block the entrances to the building. At the same time, the security forces began to block their access to the office, which became the cause of the clashes.
As News Front previously reported, on the eve of another scandal erupted in Georgia – the ruling Georgian Dream party split, failing to vote on the bill, which was supposed to ensure the holding of parliamentary elections in 2020 only according to a proportional system. This was one of the demands of the pro-Western opposition in anti-Russian actions that broke out last summer. The protests resumed when the nationalists gathered outside the parliament building, setting up a tent city in the center of Tbilisi for protracted protests.
