Suppliers of illegal immigrants to Europe earned 2 million euros on the migration crisis

The joint efforts of the security forces of several European states uncovered a criminal group that for a long time transported illegal immigrants to the EU countries.

This is stated in the press service of Eurojust.

According to the European Agency, back in 2018, law enforcement officers in Germany, the UK, Romania, and Hungary, with the assistance of colleagues from Turkey, conducted an investigation.

As a result, the criminals were found. The criminal group included 36 people. In trucks, they transported migrants from Syria, Iraq and Iran via Turkey and Greece to Romania. There, illegal immigrants were transferred to other vans, which were sent to Germany through Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Criminals are accused of illegally transporting at least 580 illegal immigrants. During the work, the participants in the scheme were able to receive over 2 million euros.

As News Front previously reported, lately cases of transporting illegal immigrants to European countries in refrigerated trucks have become more frequent. For many migrants, such a trip becomes fatal. At the same time, in a commentary to journalists, one of the refugees admitted that migrants are not stopped by the threat of death, because they have a much greater chance of dying in their native countries.
