US State Department marks the legitimization of the “Maidan” elite of Bolivia

After Jeanine Agnes proclaimed herself a “president” of Bolivia instead of the ousted Evo Morales, the American administration hastily recognized the revolutionary elites of the South American country.

The corresponding statement was made by Acting Assistant Head of the US Department of State Michael Kozak.

“The acting head of the Senate Agnes temporarily took over the duties of the constitutional president of Bolivia”, –  the official wrote on a social network, stressing that Washington “expects to cooperate with her and other representatives of civilian authority, provided that free and fair elections are organized as soon as possible in accordance with with the constitution”.

As News Front previously reported, the Bolivian opposition, with the assistance of external partners, staged a coup in the country in the best traditions of the Maidan. The reason for the protests was called the results of the election process, following which Evo Morales won.

However, the leadership of Morales was justified by the real support of the population. During his presidency, which began in 2006, he significantly boosted the country’s economy, raised the minimum wage and reduced unemployment. At the same time, he was opposed to the neo-colonization of Latin America by the United States, which played a decisive role in his overthrow. On November 10, he was forced to resign, and his place was taken by Jeanine Agnes, pleasing to Washington.
